Chastity Belt is in response to several ridiculous events taking place in Poland. 

The Polish government has attempted to bring new legislation forward, aiming to send sex educators to prison for teaching underaged students about sex, abortion, and contraception in schools. This law is known as the ‘Stop Pedophilia Law’... Czarnek, again - the Polish Minister of EDUCATION and SCIENCE, has gone on record stating that the school’s duties are rather to teach sex (and business…?) education using the writings of Pope John Paul II. 

As one of Europe’s most devoutly Catholic and socially conservative countries, Poland is offering ‘preparation for family life’ classes in place of sex education while criminalizing those teaching otherwise. What does this mean? Women are forced to exist on a different plane due to archaic, dogmatic beliefs

Czarnek, who I repeat is the Polish Minister of EDUCATION and SCIENCE, has openly stated that LGBT people are not equal to “normal people” and women were created simply to produce children.

Abortion has effectively been banned in Poland. Our bodies are no longer ours. We are losing control. 

Chastity Belt refers to these and other political and systemic issues arising in my native country, which threaten our natural human rights and jeopardize the future of women's rights and gender (in)equality.
